Fitness Tip "Psoas Stretch with Torso Twist"
Owner-trainer Roland Nahapetian of No Excuses Fitness gives his tips on how to execute a Psoas Stretch with Torso Twist

Sunday, March 25 | 2:11 pm

Starting in a lunge position with your left leg in front and your right arm stretched above your head, extend your right leg behind you in a straight position forcing the right heel towards the floor while maintaining a 90 degree bend in the front leg. This will open up the right side of the abdominals, obliques, and the psoas muscle in the upper right hip and thigh area.

Slowly bring your right arm from the top position across your body to a comfortable rotation and stretch without compensating the lower body's lunge position. The tempo should be a calm and slow movement of the right arm moving slowly across the body with a small rotation of the abdominals.

Please consult with your physician before starting an exercise program. Thank you.
