Pasadena police are confident they will make an arrest soon in the case of 17-year-old Dion Lamar Holloway of Pasadena who was found shot to death Tuesday night in northwest Pasadena, a police spokesperson said Thursday afternoon.
Witnesses have given police enough information to have search warrants issued for suspects in Altadena and Duarte, Pasadena Police Department Lt. John Dewar told Pasadena Now.
Holloway was found shot to death and lying in the middle of Belmont Street near Howard Street around 10 p.m. Tuesday night by police.
Police were responding to mutiple calls of shots fired when they found the body, police said. Holloway was shot several times in the upper body, according to CBS2 news.
Dewar said witnesses told police that Holloway was walking on the sidewalk when a dark SUV pulled up. A suspect got out and there was a confrontation in which words were exchanged. Then the suspect shot Holloway.
