Pasadena: A Diverse Shopping Experience
Dec 19, 2007 | 11:0 am Pasadena is an amazing place to live (but we all know that already). For the last few years, the retail stores available in Pasadena proper have evolved, allowing for high-end luxury chain stores and independent businesses to flourish. In order to keep the fantastic mix that we have at our fingertips, we need to support the small business owner. Otherwise, they might disappear. You may have seen her handmade marshmallows in stores across Pasadena, but Christine Moore, owner of Little Flower Candy Co. offers much more at her new storefront (don’t worry, you can still get those tasty treats too). Moore is growing her company to include fresh and seasonal baked goods, soups and tarts, just to name a few.
Haute C Boutique brings well-made and well-known designers to Pasadena at the new store on Holly. Owner Michelle Martin hosts events frequently, and stocks the store with a great selection of men’s and women’s clothing. Most of the apparel is trendy casual wear, with a great selection of denim and accessories. There are stores like these all across Pasadena, and I want to know about them. I enjoy exploring them, and I hope you do too! Little Flower Candy Company, 1424 W. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, (626) 304-4800, www.littleflowercandyco.com. Haute C Boutique, 18 E. Holly St., Pasadena, (626) 792-2290. |
