On April 5, Rusnak Porsche in Pasadena sponsored an open discussion forum on prostate cancer to assist in raising awareness of this terrible disease. The event benefited the USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. Designated by the National Cancer Institute as a comprehensive cancer center, it establishes USC/Norris as a leader in cancer treatment, research, prevention and education. The discussion was led by the distinguished John P. Stein, M.D. and Associate Professor at Keck School of Medicine at USC. Dr. Stein is the recipient of numerous national honors including an American Cancer Society Grant, the 1998 "Stop Cancer Research Career Development Award" and was named one of the "Best Doctors in the USA". He received his undergraduate degree from Notre Dame University, his medical degree from Loyola University and served his internship and residency in surgery and urology at USC. He has authored and co-authored more than 30 peer reviewed publications. Guests enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres and libations provided by the Party Goddess while soothing sounds filled the air with vocal great Cheryl Conley performing with the Pasadena Jazz Institute. Adding to the attraction of this event, Rusnak Porsche presented the new 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet and 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. Like the 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera and the 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupes, the new Cabriolets have more powerful engines, enhanced aerodynamics, advanced technologies and updated interiors. The major difference however, is that they have a new, lightweight roof structure that fold out of the way to provide an open-air driving experience.
